How to choose a monitor
The right monitor makes long hours easier on your eyes. Size, resolution and the cable your computer has are what matter most.
Size and resolution
- 19–22 inch HD or Full HD: billing counters and basic office work.
- 24 inch Full HD: the best everyday size for study and office.
- 27 inch QHD or larger: design, editing and working with two windows side by side.
- Ultrawide (29–34 inch): spreadsheets, timelines and multitasking without a second monitor.
Connections
- Check your computer first: HDMI, DisplayPort or VGA. Older desktops often have only VGA or DisplayPort.
- Ask us for the right cable or adapter when you order.
What to check on a used monitor
- Look at a plain white and a plain black screen for lines and bright patches.
- Normal shading, small white dots and black dots on used monitors are not covered by warranty, so check before you take it.
